My little Cowboy
Zac turned the big "5" on Sept 20. So hard to believe. We let him skip school that day because Scotty was already having to stay home for a doctor appt, so we figured why not let Zac stay home too. We went to the doc appt early and then I took the boys to lunch, dropped Scotty off and headed out to the stables with Zac. No surprise that the only thing he wanted to do for his birthday was ride a horse! He is the most serious I have ever seen him when he's on a horse and it really is a beautiful thing to watch. Later that night, we had "Back to School" night at their school and then we went to Red Robin for dinner. Jay had to work, so he was unable to join all the festivities, but we were able to do cake and presents before he left for work. I think Zac really enjoyed his day.
Horses are drawn to him
Love this pic of the horses
Gotta groom
Meanwhile, I was watching from the outside of the pen and I had a friendly, yet intimidating, visitor. This horse walked right up to me, I didn't know if he wanted me to pet him or move out of his way, so I did both!
Turns out, he just wanted to sniff what was in my hand - my camera!
Zac learning to trot with his horse.
Afterwards, we always stop at Swirlies Soft Serve.
This is Zac when I told him to "wink at the camera" ;)
Birthday presents and CAKE - is there anything better on a birthday?!
