Togetherness

We had a great Thanksgiving with my dad, his wife and Jay's mom.  It's the first time we've spent a holiday with my dad in years and it was really nice to be together.  We topped off the night at my brother's house for games and desserts.  So much to be thankful for and was very happy to have spent it with family.

Thankful

As I wake up this lovely, frozen Thanksgiving morning in the great Pacific Northwest, I reflect over the past year and give thanks for these things in my life:

*My BOYS; Jay, Scotty, Zac and Trev; these guys rock my world.
*My relationship with my DAD; my heart is finally healing.
*My BROTHER, because he makes it okay for me to laugh at stupid things.
*The rest of my crazy, dysfunctional, yet well-meaning FAMILY....just because.
*My FRIENDS, you know who you are and I couldn't imagine not having your influences in my life.

And finally, for my MOM, for always making "home" the place to be during the holidays.  For all the Thanksgivings that I've shared with family and friends in the past 36 years...I am thankful for the love that I have felt and the memories that have been made.

Wishing you all a Happy Thanksgiving.

First Snow

Trev's first snow

They'd been warning us for a week that the snow was coming, and sure enough early Sunday morning it began.  We just got a small dusting on Sunday but this morning we woke up to it falling pretty heavily.  I love to see it come down, but I feel paralyzed when it is on the ground despite four years of snowy experience in Alaska.  The boys love it and of course, the dog is in her element.

Halloween Too

Little Chicken Trev
Would've been cuter if I'd made him a "football" to go along with the theme,
but that's what happens when you're the third child...recycled costumes.  Sorry Trev...

Seriously, Jay did not put them up to this -
Scotty refuses to be anything else every year and I just don't have the energy to disagree!
