Jay and the boys entered their first motocross race last weekend. It was held at Shenandoah Speedway down south in the Shenandoah valley and it is beautiful country! We headed out there a day early and camped so that they could run the track ahead of time. I was a mental case that next day knowing my boys would be "racing", but they did good. Just kept reminding them to go a speed that they were comfortable with and not try to push it, even if others were passing them. Scotty did push it a little faster than I'd ever seen him ride, but Zac was just tootling around the track as normal, like he's out for a Sunday drive. The boys had two races and Jay had four. Two of Jay's four starts, his bike stalled and he was last to get off the gate, but he got a 2nd place trophy overall. Scotty also got 2nd place and Zac got 5th (second to last place). As stressed as I was worrying about the boys, it was actually a fun weekend camping and being around friends from our dirt bike club. Everyone just helps each other out and they support and encourage each other, it is a really great group of people.
This is such a small country town, loved it!
