Toothless at age 4...

Yesterday, as we were enjoying a lovely day in the warmth and sunshine at a BBQ with some friends, Scotty got kicked in the face while playing soccer, knocking one front tooth clear out and leaving the other just barely hanging on.  It was a bit traumatic for both of us, as seeing blood dripping from my son's mouth is a sight that no mother should ever have to endure!  I will be taking him to the dentist this week and they will most likely pull that other tooth because it is pretty loose.  Thus, smoothies, yogurt and shakes is all he is able to eat at the moment.  Poor guy.  He's a trooper, though, and was up and playing again in no time.  We consider this in some weird way a payback....when Scotty was three, he and his friend Sammie were running with each other, somehow bumped into each other, and since Sammie is about half the size of Scotty, she went flying into the wall knocking one of her front teeth clear out - at age three!  So she's been toothless for the past two years.  What goes around comes around, Scotty.  We always joke with her parents that the two of them are meant to be together and this just proves what soul mates they really are! :)
