Sherri is heading to California
Paulette is heading to Virginia
Being a military family, it is inevitable that every couple of years or so you will have to say goodbye to friends you've made along the way. The military says when and where and you go, no questions asked. Usually those orders are welcomed after you've spent time in certain places because you become accustomed to moving around and discovering new places. In 2008, we moved at the same time as some of our fellow Coastie friends and we were all fortunate enough to get stationed in the Pacific Northwest. As expected, we've managed to stay in touch and meet up with each other periodically over the past two years and it's been great. However, as mentioned, the inevitable has come. The Owens are now relocating to Alameda, California and the Fryars are relocating to Portsmouth, Virginia. I met with my gal pals this past week to say our goodbyes and though it was a bit sad to send them off, I know we will see each other again. You just know when you meet certain people that goodbye is really "so long for now".....who knows where the CG will take us next, we may just end up right near them again. Safe travels, my friends.
