View from the road
Well, now we know why they call it "leaf season" in the fall....because all these beautiful green leaves are coming down at some point and if you don't stay on top of cleaning them up, your house is liable to get buried. We've had a couple days of some good rainfall, definitely needed it, and with the warm sun it just seems like these trees filled out over night. When we moved in here last winter, I remember thinking how pretty these trees would be once they had some leaves on them...but had no idea just how lovely until now. It really feels like we are out in the woods, even though we have houses all around us. I just feel nestled in this little green haven and I love it. I know I've posted pics of the house and yard before, but things change so much around here, I have to document it. We don't own this property and when its time to move from Virginia, I think we will be happy to go...but really feel very fortunate and blessed to have found this place to call home for the next few years.
Love this porch -- only thing missing are some rocking chairs :)
Backyard
There are actually four dead trees back here that the owners will be removing soon, which will be nice not to have to worry about them crashing down on us.

Love the pics of all the green. You are so good about the blog updates! I need to take some pics of all of our green fields. We've been enjoying rain, sun, hail, snow and rainbows! It's still pretty cold in the morning but looking forward to some warm weather. Hope all is well with you and your 4 boys (including Jay, of course)!
