Geared up and ready!
Seattle's annual Seafair celebration was dampened by rain this year, but it didn't stop people from coming to see the show. Hydroplane races and the Blue Angels carried on with their scheduled events. Even though the sky was gray and cloudy, the jets still made their appearance. The show was altered a bit to include their low-flight plan and was not as spectacular as in years past, but I gotta admit, there is just something about those Blue Angels that, rain or shine, does something to me and many others in the crowd, obviously. Why else would all those people (thousands) show up in the crappy weather and watch 30 minutes of jets flying around? Just goes to show the dedication and pride in our military. I know that's why I treked out with my three little boys to enjoy every ear-popping moment....and would do it again in a heartbeat!
They close the I-90 bridge during the show and spectators are able to walk down onto it
Objects were closer than they appear
I wasn't quick enough with my camera to get the ones that came right over our heads...ah well!
Amazing
The boys playing "jets" with their umbrellas...only in Seattle...
