First day pictures
Our neighbors put on a week long soccer camp every year through their church and this year Scotty was old enough to enroll. I really was nervous about how it was going to go on Monday, being the first day and his first experience with any type of coordinated team sport....but much to my surprise, he has done very well. He walked right through the gates to the field (parents are not allowed on the field) and didn't look back. It's been easy going all week and he's having a blast, learning all kinds of fun things and meeting new friends. I love it and it is so funny to watch the little ones in Scotty's age group run after the ball. He is very proud of his new soccer gear we had to buy for the camp (shin guards, shorts and socks) and he finally dusted off the cleats we bought him last year. This is just the beginning of many years of many sports between THREE boys.....this is what I have looked forward to ever since the day they said "it's a boy". Soccer mom? Eh, maybe. Sports mom? Definitely...

That is awesome! I'm so proud of Scotty!! He looks so cute (ahem...I mean...manly) So glad he's taking to it. Although Rush might have to have a talk with him...I think he'd rather see him with a stick and puck!
