Photo Fiasco

A few weeks ago I got a hair-brained idea to get the boys pictures taken as a surprise for Jay and his mom, whose birthdays are in March.  Thinking this might be the only opportunity I have before we move, I went for it.  I am writing here to say that it will be the LAST time I do that, in a studio setting with three small boys on my own.  It was the morning from hell trying to coordinate all of them and get them all to cooperate....I broke a sweat and I am certain my blood pressure was thru the roof.  Naturally, Trev who is usually a happy, smiley baby was not having anything to do with it that morning and anytime we'd put him on the floor he was off and running.  Zac is NEVER one to pose nicely for any picture and the goofier he got, the less Scotty cooperated.  OY!!!  The photo lady was very patient with them, but honestly I wanted to push her aside and take over the shutter button....she was just not trigger ready at opportune times and it was driving me batty - shouldn't she be trained for this kind of thing?!!  Thus, I paid way too much for what really comes down to a half hour of complete stress and frustration!!  However, in 20 years I don't think I will regret having these pics...even if they are all not smiley, happy and perfect (click on photo to view).

I have never even tried a professional photo shoot for the exact reasons you stated. Even our Christmas pictures are blood pressure inducing! I have one from Hawaii where Steve looks ready to yell at one of the kids, Bella is pouting, Alaina is scowling, Jake is in a daze and I'm trying, desperately, to smile for the camera. Should've sent that one...I mean it would truly portray our family!

They came out great. Can't tell there was craziness going on to get them done. Good job, sis (you're so good!).
